We will then ask you to make a series of facial expressions so that the target injection sites can be marked. Finally, with your face at rest, a fine-needled syringe will be used to precisely inject BOTOX into the muscles. Following your appointment, we may recommend that you avoid strenuous exercise. Additionally, patients are encouraged not to touch their face or put undue pressure on the treatment areas for up to 48 –72 hours to prevent the BOTOX from inadvertently spreading to unwanted areas.

How soon does BOTOX start working?

Many patients begin to notice their dynamic lines fading as soon as a few days after getting BOTOX injections, though it typically takes up to a week for the full effects of BOTOX to set in. On average, patients can expect their first round of BOTOX to last for about three months, with many patients reporting BOTOX results lasting slightly longer — up to four months — after several rounds of injections. Should you notice your wrinkles returning sooner than you'd like, a repeat round of BOTOX can be considered.
